Giant Bicycle to Launch ’09 Mountain Bike Lineup at Crankworx

VANCOUVER, BC July 31, 2008- Giant Bicycle Canada will be launching their premier 2009 mountain bike and freeride lineups at Crankworx Whistler.

For the first time, consumers will get a sneak peek at the complete lineup of Maestro- Suspension mountain bikes and STP freeride bikes, as well as preview an all-new Giant BMX line in Canada.

“This is a rare and unique opportunity for the general public attending Crankworx,” states Randy Pye, Marketing Manager for Giant Canada. “Other than BTAC ExpoCycle- which is exclusive to dealers only- this will be one of the only opportunities the ‘Bike Community’ will get to see each and every model at one venue.”

Highlights will include the all-new 2009 Anthem X line with 4-inches of effective XC suspension travel right through to the 8.8-inch travel Glory DH downhill weapon.

Giant’s Method BMX line is a new introduction for the bike manufacturer into the Canadian marketplace. “Our BMX segment has been extremely successful in other countries, particularly the US” says Giant Canada’s Product Manager, Sean Kerr. “We figured it was the perfect time to answer the demands of the consumer and offer the line to Canadians”

The Giant Bicycle Expo Booth will be set up at Mountain Square in Whistler Village throughout the duration of Crankworx which runs from August 9- 17, 2008.
